Metaplanet transferred 5,014 Bitcoin between its custody addresses over the past 24 hours, according to CEO Simon Gerovich. He said the move was a routine custody operation and did not involve any sale of BTC. The company’s total holdings remain unchanged at 43,000 BTC. Because Metaplanet has publicly disclosed all of its addresses, the transfer was visible on-chain in real time. The transaction involved about $322 million worth of Bitcoin, while total network fees came to roughly $8.
